Professional Experience
Ruth Lane is Founder and President/CEO of AllOut Marketing, Inc., a strategic medical marketing and communication services firm specializing in creating market possibilities in the life sciences. AllOut Marketing offers a comprehensive portfolio of services including marketing consulting, graphic design, web development, public relations, event management and market research. As President of AllOut Marketing, Lane has served the lifescience industry for over a decade and has over 30 years experience in marketing. Lane has driven marketing strategies and creative communications for more than 500 products and 200 clients such as MEDRAD Interventional/Possis, SurModics, Medtronic, Novartis, DiaSorin, American Standard, and Roche Diagnostics.
Lane has an extensive background in executive management, product development, sales and marketing, and business development. Prior to AllOut Marketing, Inc., Ms. Lane successfully led global marketing efforts for SmithKline Beecham and Sanofi Diagnostics Pasteur.
Professional/Civic Involvement and Awards
Ruth Lane is currently serving as Vice Chair of the LifeScience Alley Board of Directors and is a Holmes Center Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the UMN Carlson School of Management. She serves as a Trustee for Westminster Presbyterian Church in Minneapolis, has held Board of Director positions for several for-profit and nonprofit boards, and was the first woman Chair of the Board for the CEO Roundtable of MN.
In 2004, Lane was invited to Paris, France, as a US delegate to the inauguration of the first Franco-American Entrepreneur’s Forum held by the French Senate and the U.S. Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration. Also in 2004, Lane was awarded the prestigious national award, Women of Faith in Science by the Presbyterian Church (USA).
Lane received the Twin Cities Women of Innovation in Leadership Award in 2000 and was recognized as one of three Twin West Entrepreneurs of the Year in 1998. From 1999 to 2003, Ms. Lane was featured in The Business Journal’s-Ventures Workshop Panel.
Education
Ruth Lane has a bachelor of science degree in biochemistry from the University of Georgia and a bachelor of science degree in medical technology from Georgia State University.
