Accessible Website for National Trainer

Challenge

A client who develops and presents national training workshops needed a new website that would highlight their subject matter expertise, attract more workshop attendees, and result in more bookings. In addition, the client wanted to begin cultivating an online community around expert articles and a corporate blog. Because their training focuses primarily on American Sign Language (ASL) and on working with people with disabilities, it was especially important that the website adhere to web accessibility standards.

At minimum, the new website needed a new design and brand with an easy content management system, including calendar management for a frequently updated list of upcoming workshops. The client also wanted to easily post flyer downloads for each workshop training.

Solution

AllOut Marketing created a brand and design that reflects the client’s reputation as a national presenter, and their dedication and passion for ASL-English interpretation and training. The information architecture creates clear navigation paths for the two main audience groups: workshop attendees and administrators interested in booking the workshops.

The client can now modify and maintain content, maintain a blog, and update the calendar with training and post-training events. Prospective workshop attendees can easily review upcoming events from any page, and hosting organizations can download flyers for event promotion.

The site is fully compliant with WCAG 2.0 Level AA and Section 508 web accessibility standards, including the following features:
